What this tool does (and doesn’t) — yet
AeroDirective shows the airworthiness directives that apply to an aircraft based on its make and model, drawn from FAA Federal Register data. Matches are grouped by confidence — directives that clearly apply, and those that should be verified against the specific aircraft (serial number, installed components).
This is an informational and research aid, not a compliance record or an authoritative determination of airworthiness. It does not yet track your aircraft’s compliance history or what actions are due — those features are coming. Always verify applicability against the aircraft’s serial number, logbooks, and the official FAA source, and consult a certified A&P/IA. The owner and mechanic remain responsible for determining and documenting actual compliance.
Currently in active development: the AD catalog and aircraft coverage are expanding, and aircraft profiles, compliance logging, and currency tracking are planned. Coverage is strongest for business jets, turboprops, and helicopters, and growing.
